We invite you to join a growing, dynamic and always innovating team at Wello as a Cloud DevOps Engineer. We are seeking a Cloud DevOps engineer to help monitor and maintain our cloud based enterprise SaaS application platform. Candidates will work with an agile software team to automate and optimize our continuous integration and deployment processes, tune performance of cloud based microservices, and configure monitoring and alerting to maintain site reliability and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Developing tooling and processes for consistent, reliable, and stable deployments of new software versions with automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Automating and orchestrating workloads in a cloud space
  • Performing and testing backups
  • Creating and testing business continuity protocols
  • Monitor and maintain server uptime
  • Monitoring cloud analytics and logs for potential problems
  • Intrusion monitoring, control and mitigation
  • Installing and software patches, and upgrades
  • Being on call (excluding during planned absences) to troubleshoot service and network issues
  • Conducing post-mortems, documenting and reporting down-time incidents
  • Keep abreast of developments and trends in the cloud space

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as either an AWS or Azure DevOps engineer
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good troubleshooting skills and excellent “google-fu”
  • Comprehension of software defined networking, internet protocols, routing, and firewalls
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages (Python, Power Shell, sh, etc.)
  • Knowledge of git and git workflows
